Feeling overwhelmed by clutter? I was too. Between juggling work, content creation, and everything else life throws at us, my home started to feel more like a storage unit than a sanctuary. So I hit reset. With a few budget-friendly Amazon finds and a little intentional effort, I transformed my space into something that finally feels clean, calm, and functional. Here’s exactly what I used and how you can do it too.
Step 1: Start with the Closet
One of the fastest ways to declutter your life is to start with your closet. I swapped out all my mismatched hangers for a set of sleek velvet ones, and it instantly made everything look more organized. Not only do they save space, but they also keep clothes from slipping.
When organizing your closet make sure you do it in Sections - Shirts, Dresses, Pants, Activewear, Jackets, & Comfy Clothes
Products I Used: Velvet Non-Slip Hangers / Velvet Non-Slip Hangers for Pants
Tip: Color-coordinate your wardrobe while you hang to make getting dressed easier.
I also organize by length (Crop Tops, Tank Tops, Shirts, Long-sleeves)
Step 2: Contain the Chaos
Whether it’s under the sink, in your pantry, or in your linen closet, clear bins are a lifesaver. They make it easy to group similar items together, see what you have, and keep everything looking neat.
Make sure use a label maker to easily identify what is in each bin or place in closet in the area that makes sense.
For example: If you have Activewear you want to store in a bin put the bin above or under wear all you Short-sleeves and Tank-tops are. Key is to keep similar items near each other so easier to find.
Products I Used:
Tip: Label each bin so everything has a place (and stays there)
Step 3: Label Everything
Speaking of labels, this small step makes a big difference. It adds structure to your space and helps everyone in your household know where things belong. Kitchen, Pantry, Bathroom, Closet, even your Storage closet. Everything has a designated space making the clutter small and items easier to find. This is the one thing I recommend everyone try.
Products I Used: Label Maker
Tip: Keep your labels simple and consistent across bins, drawers, and containers
Step 4: Upgrade Your Drawers
Drawer dividers are underrated. I used them in my bathroom and kitchen to separate items by use (skincare, tools, silverware, etc.). Now everything has a home and there’s no more rummaging. Plastic ones are perfect for that junk drawer in the kitchen and bathroom essentials. Drawer dividers are great for your dresser to organize your garments, sleepwear, and other items that are folded.
Product I Used:
Tip: Use one in your "junk drawer" to stop it from becoming a black hole.
Step 5: Maintain It With Style
Decluttering doesn’t have to mean stripping your space of personality. Add items that fix the aesthetic of your home. Hide the mess but make it look functional.
Products I Used:
Tip: Place one at the foot of your bed, next to the couch, or by the door.
Decluttering doesn’t require a full renovation or hours of your time. With the right tools and a little consistency, your home can go from chaos to calm. These Amazon must-haves helped me reset and refresh my space—and I hope they do the same for you.
